African Women In Porn I Have Question: Is Weave Really Necessary

Now I know talking about this subject is like walking around hell with gasoline shorts on but I got to go there. First off I need it to be said that I think African women are some of the most beautiful women on the planet. That’s why I am so confused as to why in the 21st century with so many ways to communicate and to research African history and beauty, that African women over all including African women in porn continue to believe that they must mimic white beauty of long straight hair.

Back in the 80’s African beauty was affirmed by Madison Ave, which should have made for easy approval to the society at large. You had Iman selling beauty products to the American public. Phylicia Rashad that was called the most beautiful woman in television during that time. Everyone looked like that were ready to finally accept African beauty all but African people themselves. African people have been taught ever since we have been on these North American shores to dislike each other and not to valve our own uniqueness and beauty by the dominant culture. This has been so engrained in us that it is so easy to make us ashamed and unsure of ourselves.

Now to the African women that are in porn and why is it so easy for you to believe that your natural hair is a problem for you to get white fans. I think that you are being misled. I want you to looking at the people in porn that are telling you that and ask yourself, “What have they done to earn your respect”? Think about it, with so many of the African women in porn wearing weave, why is there no African super star? Because of the sheer numbers of the white market you are going to have white fans. To get porn fans white or black you are going to have to the type of sexual energy that comes over on film. And that has absolutely nothing to do with your hair. Your scenes have to be believable and honest. And that has absolutely nothing to do with your hair. Plus it always helps to be in the best possible shape you can be in. And that has absolutely nothing to do with your hair. So you are going to have to come up with something better than you are trying to appeal to the white market.

All I am trying to do here is challenge your thinking. If African women get upset with me because I feel that your natural beautiful is better than mimicking white beauty then so be it. Hopefully one day you will look at this and feel real stupid about rejecting your natural beauty. I know some women in porn have self-esteem issue. And I bet it’s a sure thing that African women coming into the industry being told right off that you aren’t valued as much as your white counterpart doesn’t help at all. But again I want you to look at the individuals that are telling you this. For the most part they are the same individuals that are trying to dehumanize you unnecessarily to be in porn. Why show them any respect because they sure don’t respect you.
